General Election puts a delay to our politician visits

We’ve enjoyed a busy month at both Manchester and Liverpool depots and our cranes are really seeing some of the best jobs in the North West and further afield.

While we operate out of two strategic depots in the region, we supply and delight our customers nationally. We travel, we deliver an exceptional and safe service for businesses up and down the country.

As many people reading this will know, we have been campaigning against the unnecessary restrictions being imposed by councils and police forces on our fleet and we had enlisted the help of politicians, including Peter Dowd, Bill Esterson and Andrew Gwynne. Unfortunately, due to Rishi Sunak calling a general election, we have had to put our visits on hold. It doesn’t mean our campaign stops and we look forward to their help post July 4th.

We are committed to change and we’ll continue to bang the drum for ourselves and the industry.

Co-op Live opens and we played a part . . .

Our cranes were active for months on the scheme.

We helped put the class into the Co-op

As the final curtain fell on the magnificent Co-op Live music venue in Manchester, we at John Sutch Cranes are proud to reflect on our part in bringing this iconic project to life.

From the very beginning, as a local company with a depot up the road in Dukinfield, we've been honoured to play a crucial role in using our fleet to help our repeat-work client to construct this monumental venue, which is set to host some of the πŸŒβ€™s biggest names in entertainment.

Our team poured their expertise and dedication into every aspect of the project, ensuring that the lifting operations ran smoothly and efficiently. And they did.

It's been a journey filled with challenges and triumphs, and we couldn't be prouder of the outcome.

From unforgettable concerts to unforgettable memories, this venue is poised to become a cornerstone of Manchester's cultural scene.

To all our partners, collaborators, and the entire Co-op Live team, thank you for entrusting us with this extraordinary endeavour.

Isle of Man Government issues praise for John Sutch Cranes

Isle of Man Government highlighted our success

We are thrilled to share the news that our team at John Sutch Cranes Ltd played a crucial role in the commissioning trials of the facility, which included the successful berthing of the Steam Packet fastcraft Manannan.

According to the Isle of Man Government, this major infrastructure project, tested in Spring, involved representatives from Poland and Spain overseeing the implementation of the linkspan and passenger access systems, and conducting essential training sessions for staff. With our cranes facilitating the intricate installation processes, we ensured the project's smooth progression.

Stay tuned for more updates as the Manxman undertakes its berthing trials later this year, preparing for the winter weekend sailings schedule. πŸ’™πŸ—οΈπŸ’›

The month of May saw us feature in five trade publications

Construction Index, Construction News, Construction Enquirer, IBJ Magazine and Cranes Today all carried our news. But what was the story about?

Our campaign to end 'unnecessary restrictions' of our cranes continues as Cranes Today Magazine highlights the issue with an in depth feature on the challenges we at John Sutch Cranes Ltd face on a daily basis, as well as what's happening for colleagues and operators in London and the South of the country.

πŸ“° Please read this article as the problems aren't purely being faced here in the UK - it stretches to the continent. πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Ί

Put simply, we need a breakthrough for the industry. More cranes are being restricted on our roads than ever before and it's having a big impact on business, productivity and the UK construction industry.

If you are in the #crane industry, this is worth five minutes of your time. Big thanks to Christian for the feature πŸ™Œ πŸ’› #johnsutchcranes
