As we head into the summer, we look back at another busy few months for our business.

One of the most significant campaigns we’ve launched has been our challenge to the authorities regarding the restrictions we are seeing as we look to service our customers. Some days we can’t get cranes out on the road due to red tape and that’s as frustrating as it is disappointing.

The campaign is still gathering pace and it’s been great to feature in four of the top construction industry publications to highlight the issues such as Construction Index, Construction Enquirer, Business Desk and the International Bulk Journal Magazine.

In this issue we will highlight some of customer favourites and just remind colleagues about the capabilities we have in our 35 crane fleet operating out of Liverpool and Manchester - servicing the whole of the UK. They don’t come any bigger than our big Liebherr LTM 1450-8.1, which is pictured below. It’s done well for us so far but you can still hire it today!

The GMK5200-1 is ready for action

We're pleased to spotlight another one of our popular powerhouses of our fleet – the GMK5200-1! This formidable crane isn't just any piece of machinery; it's a John Sutch Cranes Ltd piece of machinery.

With its impressive 52-meter boom and a maximum lifting capacity of 200 tons, the GMK5200-1 stands out in a class of it's own with it's versatility and strength. Whether navigating through tight city streets or working in spacious industrial areas, this crane handles challenges with unparalleled efficiency.

Our owner, #johnsutch, said: "The GMK5200-1 looks very similar to the GMK5250L and is just as driver friendly and compact but it’s a bit smaller. It runs with an interchangeable ballast and can go up and down the range, which means it’s more versatile for our fleet. We will be able to use it on most 100, 130 and 200T capacity jobs.”

Thank you to all colleagues who are supporting our campaign to end the unnecessary restrictions imposed by authorities upon our fleet.

We have had unprecedented support from all corners of the #crane industry and we will keep pushing until we see change.

Unfortunately, the restrictions are still occurring and only last week we were denied to service a client at a big cost to our business.

We are close to securing a visit from politicians to our #Liverpool depot with Bill Esterman MP due to visit our site to discuss the issues further with our MD, John Sutch, designate MD Hayley Sutch and Sales Director, Paul Parry. The #CPA are fully behind us and fellow businesses have personally been in touch to offer backing 🙌🏻 We’ll keep you posted.
