As we move forward into a new month next week I want to take a moment to thank our customers and team for their support. The start of the year has brought its challenges, with the winter weather slowing some things down a touch. But where it was safe to lift, we did so - keeping projects moving and supporting our clients when they needed us most. That’s what we’ve done for years and our January has been a good one.

Our industry is built on trust and reliability, and that’s why it’s so important we stay on the radar of all our clients. Some are working with us every day, while others may not have had a lift in a few months—or even longer. By keeping you updated on what we’re doing, showcasing our latest projects, and demonstrating the strength of our fleet and team, we remind them why they can rely on John Sutch Cranes.

In this newsletter, you’ll find stories from across our business—highlighting the expertise, investment, and service that set us apart. Let’s keep the momentum going.

Best regards,

John Sutch

Managing Director

Our Tower Crane was in action in Southport last week.

Towering above in Southport

Our Spierings Mobile Cranes SK1265-AT6 Tower Crane was in action in neighbouring Southport, showcasing its incredible versatility and efficiency on-site.

This mighty mobile tower crane is a game-changer for projects requiring precision in tight spaces or where speed is key and we delivered, once again. With its impressive reach and compact design, it’s the perfect choice for urban environments or busy areas like this one on a busy retail. A huge shoutout to our skilled operators and site team who made this lift look effortless.

Delivering for the NHS for West Middlesex Hospital

At John Sutch Cranes we believe that every lift is an opportunity to demonstrate our precision, planning, and expertise, and our recent project at West Middlesex Hospital highlighted that to the maximum.

Tasked with lifting a large cabin into place, we relied on the power and versatility of our Liebherr LTM 1450.8.1 crane to do the business.

This lift was months in the making, requiring planning and coordination with the client to ensure every detail was accounted for.

Working in hospitals and in the grounds of the NHS adds an extra layer of complexity. It's not just a case of lifting the load. We worked closely with our client to mitigate any risks and in this case the hospital closed part of the building down for a certain period of time while we delivered the lift, before then returning to business as usual.

From initial site assessments to logistics planning, our team worked tirelessly to develop a seamless strategy.

On the day of execution, that preparation paid off. Thanks to the capabilities of the Liebherr LTM 1450.8.1, with its exceptional load capacities and precision engineering, we completed the lift safely and efficiently within just a single day.

Mick Turner, Technical Sales Representative at John Sutch Cranes, said: "This project is a prime example of how careful planning and teamwork lead to success. The complexity of the lift required extensive preparation, and I’m proud to say our team exceeded expectations. The client was delighted with the outcome, and we executed the job safely and on schedule. This is what we do best – delivering precision and reliability for challenging projects.”

Safety was our top priority throughout the process. Our experienced operators, combined with state-of-the-art equipment, ensured that every aspect of the lift adhered to the highest safety standards.
